Full Stack Software Developer (m/f/d)

Your role:

As a Full Stack Software Developer at CALIMA, you will play a central role in the development and maintenance of our digital products. You will be involved in both front-end and back-end development, ensuring that our applications are performant, secure and user-friendly. You will work closely with our tech team and external developers to find the best solutions and continuously improve them. You will have the freedom to contribute and implement your own ideas and will be actively involved in shaping our technical architecture.

Your tasks:

Frontend Software Development:

• Implementation of new visual and interactive features for the user interface, taking performance, user-friendliness and security into account.
• Development and implementation of automated tests to ensure quality and avoid regressions.
• Analyzing and fixing UI/UX bugs as well as proactively identifying and solving usability problems.
• Optimization of front-end performance for fast loading times and a smooth user experience.
• Regular updating of front-end libraries and frameworks to ensure compatibility with different browsers and devices.

Backend Software Development:

• Implementation of new technical features, from the database to the API interface, taking efficiency, security and quality into account.
• Creation and maintenance of comprehensive API documentation to support other developers.
• Development and implementation of automated tests (end-to-end and unit tests) to ensure software quality.
• Analysis and elimination of reported bugs as well as proactive identification and elimination of potential vulnerabilities.
• Continuous improvement of the system's safety-relevant components.

DevOps Engineering:

• Development and maintenance of our scalable and robust infrastructure to ensure a highly available environment.
• Development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test and deployment process.
• Implementation and management of monitoring and logging solutions to proactively monitor system health.
• Continuous review and improvement of security measures at infrastructure level.
• Regular updating and maintenance of infrastructure components, including the management of software updates.

What you bring with you:

• Experience in full stack software development, ideally in a tech startup or similar environment.
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with frontend technologies such as React & TypeScript.
• Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Express and MongoDB as well as API development and documentation.
• Knowledge of DevOps technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• A solution-oriented and independent way of working, coupled with a high demand on the quality and security of your code.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team and with external partners.
